Purpose and Mission

The mission & purpose of the Memphis Generous Community Initiative (GCI) are:

•To educate, equip and encourage followers of Christ to live a life of Biblical stewardship that glorifies God and produces joyful, infectious generosity.

• To fund His work in Memphis and around the world

• To create more financially stable households in Memphis

The initiative intends to accomplish its mission thru churches, trusted advisors & direct engagement of persons of affluence.  Oversight is through an independent steering committee.

Crown Financial Ministries - The purpose and mission of Crown is to equip people to learn, apply, and teach God’s financial principles so that they may know Christ more intimately, be free to serve Him, and help fund the Great Commission.  Crown’s primary ministry is through Journey to Financial Freedom church seminars, and Crown small group Bible Studies.

Kingdom Advisors - The purpose and mission of Kingdom Advisors is to engage, equip and empower Christian financial advisors to communicate Biblical wisdom to their clients, apply professional principles in their practices, and live out their faith in their marketplace for Kingdom impact.  To do this, they desire to transform how Christian financial advisors think, apply and communicate spiritual financial principles with their clients, and to encourage financial advisors to activate and fulfill their calling in the marketplace.

Generous Giving - GG is a ministry that seeks to encourage givers of all income levels to experience the joy of giving and embrace a lifestyle of generosity, according to God’s word and Christ’s example.  Their mission is to motivate followers of Jesus Christ toward greater biblical generosity.  Their vision is for the hearts and minds of God’s people to be radically transformed for revolutionary generosity.  Their message is to proclaim the joy of giving – not out of duty or guilt, but out of gratitude for our salvation in Christ.
