SERVANT LEADER AWARDS 2008

On November 12th the Foundation recognized the following servant leaders with a private banquet, keynote address from Pastor Ken Robinson M.D. from St. Andrew's AME Church, and a grant of $5,000 given to the Christian ministry nominating the winners:

SERVANT LEADER AWARDS 2007

On November 6, 2007, Hope presented six Servant Leader Awards to individuals for their contributions as volunteers to Christian charitable organizations in the Mid-South. Three awards of $5,000 were made to the organizations which nominated their winning volunteer. In addition, awards of three scholarships of $2,000 were made to students who have been nominated for their service in the community.  The qualifications used to evaluate the nominates included how they contributed to the organization, the impact the nominee has had on the ministry, and how they exemplified Christ-like servant leader qualities.

The 2007 ministry award winners are Lisa Langley, Palmer Home for Children; Matthew Gandy, Eikon Ministries; and John Humphreys, Jacob’s Ladder Community Development Corporation. The scholarship winners are Delvin Tubbs, Streets Ministries; Brandon Privett, Crichton College; and Norma Lester, Neighborhood Christian Centers.
